The resources or support necessary for the discipline of food security in Alaska, came from the University of Alaska Fairbanks. It seems that the University has been on this topic of climate change and has been looking at from various directions throughout the State of Alaska. I believe that the communities and tribal entities throughout the state of Alaska needs to step up and become more viable resources in able to adapt and become ready for whatever climate change will do within each community, especially since a majority of the people in Alaska are subsistence users. The State of Alaska once had a Subsistence Panel/Committee, and that Committee should also be reinstated to help face the crisis that climate change has on subsistence.
